On this Father’s day my thoughts are on the family and how important a healthy family is. I hear from some people that Father’s day is very hard for them because, their father was abusive and they find it difficult to forgive. I see broken families every day in my work from parents who are incapable of properly caring for their children. I meet adults who have had these parents and now find it impossible to be in a relationship. It’s true when they say that anyone can be a father but, it takes someone special to be a dad.
God bless those special men who love their children the way that God has intended. Who place their children before themselves and do everything possible to make their life the best that it could be. It makes my heart proud when I witness a father’s love and care for his children as I do with my husband and granddaughter’s father. I am grateful when I see fathers nurturing and being sensitive to their children’s needs.
May God continue to give them the strength and Graces they need to fulfill their vocation as a father. May we as wives continue to support and build up our husbands so that they have the confidence to do what’s right for their family. Thank you to those fathers’ that exhibit such a worthy role model for others to follow. You are one of the instruments that God uses to bring the children closer to Himself. THANK YOU !! HAPPY FATHER’S DAY !!
Please pray with me for those parents who cannot take the best care for their children. We pray for God to heal them and to protect their children by bringing forward those loving people who can. May these loving people adopt and/or care for them through the foster care system and bring them the forever family that God has intended for them. For everyone deserves a forever family and love. Amen
