Today marks the day we remember all those who have lost their lives in combat so that we could have freedom in the United States. I know how hard it can be to lose someone you love through war. I know this not from my own personal experience but from a loved parishioner who lost her then 21-year-old son in Iraq. She was devastated and she needed the full support of others to help her heal. I pray that today brings healing to many and that people remember these fallen heroes every day and not just during this one Holiday.

Before we get to the pictures and comments below I want to ask you for prayers. I was told last night that my Grandfather who is a veteran will die this week. He is 92, and a  World War II veteran. Please keep him in your prayers for a peaceful passing into the hands of Jesus and for my family who will miss him terribly. Thank you so much.

Now onto our blog, I think this picture expresses it all and I can only respond with, “THANK YOU!”

And let us not forget our dear canines
