Dawn Rusinko, OFS, CLEM
Dawn lives at the Jersey Shore, where she enjoys the mountains and the sea. She is married with three children, two Grandchildren, and two dogs. In 1999, she entered formation to the Secular Franciscan Order and professed a member in 2002. She has served in many Franciscan leadership roles at local, regional, and National levels.
In 2007, she began Formation for Lay Ecclesial Ministry, studying Theology for three years at Georgian Court University as well as Diocesan training and Commissioned a Lay Ecclesial Minister in 2010 with certificates in Pastoral Care, Youth Ministry, Pastoral Ministry & Catechesis. She began her Pastoral Associate work at the Franciscan Church of St. Peter’s. She currently works as Pastoral Associate at Sacred Heart Church and for a time St. Pio’s while her pastor was temporary administrator of both. She also worked as the NJ Director of Downey Side Adoption Agency and continues as a caseworker for the agency today placing children out of the Foster Care system into loving forever families.
She is a member of the National Association of Lay Ministry and for a time served as a leader on their Advocacy Committee and a writing contributor to their newsletter. Dawn has been working and serving in parishes for over 19 years she runs programs, workshops, and teaches leadership skills, if you are interested in having her present something in your church please contact her for more information.
