Dawn Rusinko is a Catholic/Christian writer, married to her childhood sweetheart, with three children, four grandchildren, and two dogs. Dawn and her family reside in NJ. She loves to write about her faith to encourage others to push through life’s adversity. Dawn is a contributing writer for Link2Us magazine. She is a Secular Franciscan serving in many leadership roles on local, regional, and national levels and a lay ecclesial minister in the Diocese of Trenton, NJ.

Dawn studied theology and scripture for three years at Georgian Court University, Lakewood, NJ, and received diocesan training with certification in pastoral care, youth ministry, pastoral ministry, and catechesis. She has served as a youth minister, faith formation director, and pastoral associate in churches for over twenty years.

She is a member of the Catholic Writer’s Guild and National Association of Lay Ministry having served as a leader on their advocacy committee and a writing contributor to their newsletter.

She currently works at Downey Side Adoption Agency, Lavallette, NJ where she and her family adopted a child in 2005; she now continues the mission of placing older children in the foster care system with forever families.

Dawn enjoys walking on the beach with her dogs, painting, and crying at Hallmark Christmas movies. She is in the process of finalizing her 6 -week bible study titled “Women of Wisdom: God Called, They Answered,” Presently she is researching and writing a “God Amid Our Chaos: A Parent’s #40-day journey through addiction”
